The Museum Meditation Experience
I created the Museum Meditation Experience to solve a problem I see everywhere: people rush past masterpieces, looking for 10 seconds or less. I’m on a mission to change that. The experience is built around one core principle: teaching the difference between passive looking and active seeing. Through guided mindfulness, I help participants engage with artwork on a deeper level, discovering layers of meaning they would have otherwise missed.
A central part of the journey is spending 15 minutes with a single piece of art. People always think that sounds long, but it’s where the magic happens. Participants consistently tell me they discover details and emotional connections they never expected. The science backs this up: viewing art activates the visual cortex, the amygdala, and the hippocampus in ways that promote mental clarity and relaxation. It’s a powerful form of self-care disguised as a cultural outing.
I’m also offering VIP private group experiences for special occasions. These are fully curated two-hour journeys designed around your specific interests, followed by a complimentary drink in the museum’s VIP lounge to reflect on what we’ve seen together.
Live Auctioneering and the Art World
Charity auctioneering continues to be a big part of my life. I’m a live and lively charity auctioneer, and my approach is simple: connect with your guests, understand your mission, and create an atmosphere where giving feels like celebration. At a recent Poly Prep Country Day School gala at the Conrad Hotel in NYC, we raised $358,000 across six live auction lots and a paddle raise. The organizer called me “charming, witty, knowledgeable, and tireless.” I’ll take that.
On the gallery side, I work with collectors, investors, museum curators, and art advisors to acquire investment-grade art at favorable prices. I operate at the intersection of technology, connoisseurship, and forensics, using AI, image recognition, auction records, and sales analysis to validate current market value. Transparency in a $67 billion global marketplace is something I take seriously.
Art, Travel, and Life
I’m a native New Yorker, and I own a gallery in NYC. But I’m rarely in one place for long. I recently wrote about a stretch that took me from Amsterdam to Stockholm to Milan to Lake Como. A nephew’s wedding, a table tennis match, Giorgio Morandi’s artworks, and my first visit to Lago di Como. People always ask whether my travels are for business or pleasure. The answer is always both, but the pleasure takes precedence. Where there is life, there is art. And where there is art, there is life.
I also led a highlight tour at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair last summer, which featured over 140 galleries and artists from around the globe. Moments like those remind me why I do what I do.
